As autumn settles into the western Münsterland, the Schöppingen Pub Night is one of the season's musical highlights. On Saturday, October 24, 2026, starting at 8 PM, the event celebrates its 17th edition — in the atmospheric Kraftwerk Künstlerdorf Schöppingen.

The Kraftwerk Künstlerdorf — New Stage, Old Character

The Kraftwerk is the cultural hall of the Stiftung Künstlerdorf Schöppingen (Schöppingen Artists' Village Foundation) and combines artistic architecture with sustainable construction. The main hall features a stage, expansive window fronts, and terrace access overlooking the artists' village. The Pub Night utilizes this atmosphere to transform the original pub format into a modern festival with professional stage technology.

Program and Concept

The Pub Night is extremely popular with locals and visitors from the Münsterland and beyond. It combines:

Schöppingen — Art and Culture in the Münsterland

The municipality of Schöppingen (approx. 7,600 inhabitants) is located in the Borken district in the western Münsterland (North Rhine-Westphalia). It is famous for the Künstlerdorf Schöppingen, an international scholarship program of the Stiftung Künstlerdorf, which invites writers, composers, visual artists, and scientists from all over the world for stays of several months. Organizer

The organizer is the Kulturring Schöppingen, a local association that helps shape the cultural offerings of the municipality and cooperates closely with the Stiftung Künstlerdorf. The Pub Night is its best-known and most attended format.
