One Church, Five Worlds

The Kleinbeeren Village Church is a small, simple fieldstone church in the Kleinbeeren district of the Großbeeren municipality – in the Teltow-Fläming district, south of Berlin. Once a summer, it becomes a stage for sound for the Großbeeren Cultural Association for five concerts. The format is called Kleinbeerener Musiksommer and has been attracting a devoted audience from the region and Berlin for years.

Five Concerts, Five Styles

The concept focuses on diversity: each of the five Sunday concerts presents a different genre. From the swing of the 1940s to modern Urban Pop, from Southeast European folk songs to timeless Baroque – the 2026 program spans five Sunday afternoons from June to September.

2026 Program

The series begins on June 14th with the concert "Coco Schumann Remembered – Swing Romances": a tribute to the Berlin jazz guitarist and concentration camp survivor Coco Schumann. On July 5th, the five-member ensemble DIVANKO will perform songs and rhythms from Eastern Europe (Polyphonic vocals, violin, guitar, ukulele, double bass, percussion – "from Georgia to Hungary and the Czech Republic to Greece"). On July 26th, the Potsdam trio Blue Yonder will present Urban Pop. On August 16th, the program "Timeless Baroque" will be featured. The closing concert on September 6th will be performed by the quartet JKP 4 with the program "Wood Works".

Coffee, Cake, Culture

Each concert starts at 5 PM. The Cultural Association serves coffee and cake in front of the church from 4 PM onwards. Admission is free; donations for the artists and the preservation of the church are requested at the exit.

Teltow-Fläming and Brandenburg

Großbeeren is located directly on the southern city limits of Berlin and belongs to the Teltow-Fläming district. The Großbeeren Cultural Association has been fostering cultural life in the four districts of the municipality for years: Großbeeren, Kleinbeeren, Diedersdorf, and Birkholz. The Musiksommer is its flagship – a format that represents the vibrancy of village cultures in the state of Brandenburg.

Kleinbeerener Musiksommer — edition 2026

Coco Schumann Remembered (June 14th), DIVANKO with Eastern European folk music (July 5th), Blue Yonder Potsdam Urban Pop (July 26th), Timeless Baroque (August 16th), JKP 4 & Wood Works (September 6th). The Kleinbeerener Musiksommer 2026 continues its five-part concept: over five Sundays spread throughout the summer, each concert features a different genre. The Kleinbeeren village church offers around 100 seats; early arrival is recommended.
