Kirchweih Runding

The 2026 edition adheres to the traditional rhythm: it follows the popular Berg-Kirchweih on Haidstein in terms of timing, thus offering an ideal follow-up date for visitors to the Bavarian Forest on a summer weekend.

Exact dates and the complete program will be published in good time by the municipality of Runding and the participating associations on the municipal website and in the local press.

Program 2026 – 3 Days of Kirchweih Runding

• Friday afternoon (July 10 or 11) – Kirtabaum Raising in the Raindorf district with catering and brass music
• Saturday evening (July 11) – Evening mass, followed by Beer garden with folk dances by local heritage and traditional costume associations
• Sunday (July 12) – Market on Runding village square with regional stalls, followed by Beer festival with festival tent, beer service, snack specialties, and live music

The exact festival sequence is dependent on weather and associations; the municipality of Runding will provide information before the Kirchweih on its official website and notices.

Getting There

Runding is located about 10 km east of Cham. By car via the B 20 or country road. Train connection via Cham, then bus or taxi to Runding.

Admission to the Kirchweih is free. Food and drinks are paid for on site.
