About Kerwa Rohr

The Kirchweih in Rohr in Mittelfranken is a traditional Franconian Kerwa in the Roth district. For four days in August, customs come alive: beer tapping and citizens' shooting king on Friday evening, raising of the Kärwabaum (fairground tree) on Saturday, Kerwa church service and grand parade on Sunday, and morning pint and relaxed end on Monday. A beer tent, Kärwaboum (fairground lads) and Kärwamädli (fairground lasses), and amusement rides make the festival the highlight of village life.
