Burg Siersberg

Burg Siersberg is a hilltop castle in the municipality of Rehlingen-Siersburg in the Saarlouis district. It sits enthroned on a rocky outcrop above the Saartal and was built in the Middle Ages as a border fortification for the County of Saarbrücken. Today, the castle is a ruin, its walls and towers preserved and serving as a venue – with an unforgettable panoramic view of the Saar.

The open-air cinema is part of the BurgSommer 2026 event series, with which the municipality of Rehlingen-Siersburg fills the historic castle complex with life during the summer. On July 24 and 25, 2026, the castle wall becomes the screen.
