A New Festival from the Hometown
The Kanonenfest is a new metal festival brought to life by the Upper Franconian band Kanonenfieber. The venue is the Brose Arena in Bamberg, Upper Franconia, Bavaria – the band's hometown. The organizer is the Bamberg-based Noisebringer Records GmbH.
»Die Heimatfront ruft!« (The Home Front Calls!)
The festival operates under the motto »Die Heimatfront ruft!«, thus picking up on Kanonenfieber's thematic concept surrounding World War I. The Kanonenfest is designed to be the most elaborate production in the band's history to date.
Top-Class Lineup
The headliner is Kanonenfieber itself, complemented by five other acts: Kataklysm, Vader, Mental Cruelty, Antrisch, and Hackneyed. The musical spectrum ranges from Black Metal and atmospheric Black Metal to Death Metal and Melodic Death Metal, extending to Deathcore and Slam Death Metal.

Kanonenfest — edition 2026
On Friday, March 27, 2026, the first Kanonenfest takes place at the Brose Arena in Bamberg. Doors open at 3 PM, the festival starts at 4 PM and ends in the early hours of March 28.
The headliner is the Upper Franconian band Kanonenfieber, presenting the most elaborate production in their history to date in their hometown. Also performing are Kataklysm, Vader, Mental Cruelty, Antrisch, and Hackneyed. The festival is accompanied by a traveling museum about World War I and an exhibition by artist Daniel Bechthold with exclusive works related to the project.

Getting There
The Brose Arena is located at Forchheimer Straße 15 in Bamberg. Arrive by train to Bamberg Central Station and continue by city bus; by car via the A70 or A73, with parking available at the arena.
