The Kanonenfest is a new metal festival celebrating its premiere in 2026 at the Brose Arena in Bamberg, Upper Franconia. Organized by the Upper Franconian band Kanonenfieber in their hometown, the festival unites a top-class lineup of Black Metal, Death Metal, Melodic Death Metal, and Deathcore under the motto »Die Heimatfront ruft!« (The Home Front Calls!). Alongside Kanonenfieber as headliner, Kataklysm, Vader, Mental Cruelty, Antrisch, and Hackneyed will perform. The concert event is accompanied by a traveling museum about World War I and an exhibition by artist Daniel Bechthold featuring exclusive works related to the Kanonenfieber project – an elaborate production and a new event for the metal scene in Bavaria.

The festival operates under the motto »Die Heimatfront ruft!«, thus picking up on Kanonenfieber's thematic concept surrounding World War I. The Kanonenfest is designed to be the most elaborate production in the band's history to date.
