About Kammermusiktage

The Kammermusiktage Kühlungsborn are the autumn classical series of the Kunsthalle Kühlungsborn. On three evenings in mid-October, international chamber musicians perform in the hall on the Baltic Sea promenade – a small, very personal festival that gently concludes the classical concert summer on the Baltic coast.

Classical Music in an Intimate Atmosphere

The Kammermusiktage Kühlungsborn are among the regular classical music events on the Mecklenburg Baltic coast. Three concert evenings focus entirely on the genre of chamber music: solo, duo, trio, quartet.

Programme

Each year, the programme features works by the great classical and romantic composers, supplemented by repertoire from the 20th and 21st centuries, as well as folkloristic references to Central and Eastern Europe. The evening concerts begin at 7:00 PM.

Hall and Acoustics

The hall of the Kunsthalle Kühlungsborn seats only around a hundred guests, making chamber music in its original, communicative form an experience. The musicians' breaths can be heard from the front row.

Local Context

Kühlungsborn is located in the Rostock district and, with over three kilometres of beach promenade, is Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania's largest Baltic Sea resort. In autumn, when the major stages of the Festspiele MV have ended their season, the Kunsthalle takes over the region's classical music calendar.
