Jazz with a Sea View
The Jazz Meeting Kühlungsborn has been a fixture of the summer calendar for the Kunsthalle Kühlungsborn for years. The intimate atmosphere of the hall on the Baltic Sea promenade, which seats only around a hundred guests, ensures direct encounters between artists and the audience.
Program
On three consecutive evenings, selected trios, quartets, and soloists from the international jazz scene perform. The stylistic range extends from modern European jazz to the great tradition of American mainstream jazz and experimental formats. The evening concerts start at 8:00 PM.
Organizer
The Jazz Meeting is organized by the Kunsthalle Kühlungsborn, which also hosts the Blues & Boogie Days, World Music Days, Piano Days, and Chamber Music Days in Kühlungsborn.
Local Context
Kühlungsborn, with over 8,000 inhabitants and more than three kilometers of beach promenade, is the largest Baltic seaside resort in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and is located in the Rostock district. The Kunsthalle is one of the most prominent cultural venues on the Mecklenburg Baltic coast.
