The Concept: One Ticket, Many Stages

The Itzehoer Musiknacht is the city's largest live music event. The concept is incredibly simple: Several locations in Itzehoe's city center — bars, pubs, cafés, small cultural centers — are simultaneously used, each with its own band. Those who buy a ticket can switch between locations and experience seven or eight bands over the course of an evening. A printed program flyer is available in all locations and at ticket pre-sale points.

Variety of Styles: Rock, Pop, Blues, Jazz

The program focuses on a mix of styles: Rock (local cover bands and original compositions), Pop, Blues, and Jazz. In 2026, performers include Crank It Up, Sun & Rain, Rockboxx, Third Floor, Nitro Jets, Colors of Rain, and The Greyhounds — plus a surprise guest for each date.

Twice a Year — Spring and Autumn

The Musiknacht takes place twice a year: once on the first Saturday in April, and once on the first Saturday in October. In 2026, this means: April 4th for the spring edition, and October 3rd for the autumn edition. This semi-annual rhythm allows the organizers to refresh the lineup each time and bring live music to the city center on two prominent dates.

Itzehoe — District Capital in Western Schleswig-Holstein

Itzehoe is the district capital of Steinburg in the state of Schleswig-Holstein, about 60 kilometers northwest of Hamburg. With around 32,000 inhabitants, it is a classic North German medium-sized town — Itzehoe is home to the "Stör" shipyard and the Schleswig-Holstein Brewery (Holsten and Itzehoer). The Musiknacht has been an important factor in revitalizing the city center and a stage for regional bands for years.

Atmosphere

The atmosphere is convivial and focused on interaction: "Finest music all evening long, meeting friends and making new acquaintances" — this is how the organizers themselves describe the format. The short distances between locations and the variety of bands make it easy to experience an evening full of impressions.
