44th edition of the multicultural city festival on the Brenz
For over four decades, the Internationales Straßenfest Heidenheim has been one of the largest intercultural festivals in Baden-Württemberg. The organizer is the City of Heidenheim an der Brenz (district town of the Landkreis Heidenheim) together with the foreign associations and international communities of the city. In 2026, the festival celebrates its 44th edition.
The festival mile stretches across the Heidenheim city center from Eugen-Jaekle-Platz along Hauptstraße to Voith-Platz, supplemented by Grabenstraße and Hintere Gasse. In total, several contiguous festival zones are created with multiple stages and around 100 stands.

In addition, there are stands with jewelry, textiles, handicrafts, and souvenirs from various countries.
International dance groups, music ensembles, and bands perform on several stages. Turkish folk dances, Italian Tarantella, folk dances from the former Yugoslavia, Latin American Salsa, Indian classical dances – the program reflects the cultural diversity of Heidenheim's migrant communities.
Behind the festival is the Festival and Culture Office of the City of Heidenheim in cooperation with the Integration Advisory Board and the foreign associations. The purpose is more than just an entertainment weekend: The Internationales Straßenfest is a showcase of the cultural diversity of a medium-sized industrial city and a meeting platform for the people of Heidenheim from all countries of origin.
The 44th Internationales Straßenfest Heidenheim takes place on Friday, June 26, 2026, from 6 p.m. and on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 11 a.m. in the Heidenheim city center. Festival mile from Eugen-Jaekle-Platz via Hauptstraße to Voith-Platz with around 100 stands from over 30 cultures.
On several stages, international dance groups, music ensembles, and bands present their programs. The catering is provided by the cultural associations and communities of Heidenheim – with specialties from the Mediterranean, the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and Europe. Free admission.
Heidenheim an der Brenz is located in eastern Baden-Württemberg on the A7 motorway. Heidenheim train station is directly on the Brenzbahn line (Ulm–Aalen). From the station, you can reach Eugen-Jaekle-Platz in a few minutes' walk.
Free admission. Food and drinks are sold at the over 100 stands.
Come hungry – the diversity of international cuisines is the heart of the festival. If you prefer a quieter atmosphere, come on Friday evening; Saturday is significantly busier.
