The 31st International Trabant Meeting Anklam transforms Anklam Airport into a huge Trabbi campsite from Wednesday, May 13, to Sunday, May 17, 2026 (Ascension Day). The organizer is the Trabbi-Buggy-Club Anklam e.V.
The meeting opens on Wednesday at 6 PM with the election of Miss and Mister Trabant Meeting 2026. On Friday, May 15, the quarter-mile acceleration races in ten categories start at 10 AM. On the outdoor stage, Sexy Carwash follows at 3 PM, the Boom Car competition at 6 PM, and the burnout show at 7 PM. Getting There
By car via the A20 (Szczecin–Lübeck), exit Anklam, then follow signs to the airport. By train to Anklam station, from there approx. 5 km to the airport (shuttle service during the meeting).

World's Largest Trabbi Meeting
The International Trabant Meeting Anklam has been organized by the Trabbi-Buggy-Club Anklam e.V. since 1996 and is now the largest Trabant meeting worldwide. The venue is Anklam Airport, which becomes a vast campsite for Trabbi enthusiasts and their vehicles over Ascension Day. In 2025, organizers counted 1,218 vehicles and around 6,200 visitors.
Program: Between Competition and Show
The multi-day festival offers a packed program: election of Miss and Mister Trabant Meeting, quarter-mile acceleration races in ten categories, Sexy Carwash, Boom Car competition, burnout show, tuning demonstrations, concerts with East German rock and Schlager bands, and DJ parties into the night. Classically restored Trabbis, Wartburgs, and Barkas models are also represented.
GDR Nostalgia and International Fans
The meeting attracts Trabant lovers from all over Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Scandinavia, and beyond to Anklam. GDR nostalgia, technical interest, and festival atmosphere combine to create a unique format. Trabant drivers appreciate the convivial character and the opportunity to exchange spare parts and experiences.
Regional Context
Anklam is located in the Vorpommern-Greifswald district (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern) on the Peene River. Anklam Airport, a former NVA airfield, offers space for thousands of vehicles and motorhomes on its extensive grounds. The rural location and the short distances to the Hanseatic city of Anklam make the meeting particularly attractive for campers.
