Garden party at Weingut Hamm as part of the Ingelheim Wine Estate Festivals at the turn of July/August 2026
Weingut Hamm in Ingelheim is one of the traditional family wineries in the red wine city on the Rhine. With its Garden Party, the winery sets a special accent within the series of Ingelheim Wine Estate Festivals: Instead of a classic estate festival in a paved courtyard, the Hamm family offers their festival in a larger, park-like garden.
This spatial peculiarity noticeably changes the atmosphere. Instead of cramped beer benches under courtyard walls, guests sit on the lawn, at scattered standing tables, or under shady trees. The garden offers space for different seating groups, so families, groups of friends, and regular guests can feel comfortable according to their preferences. In good summer weather, the format unfolds its full charm: sun, shade, wine, and a touch of picnic atmosphere.
At the serving points, Weingut Hamm presents its current vintage wines. The focus is on the typical Ingelheim repertoire with an emphasis on red wine: Pinot Noir in various styles from light summer red wine to full-bodied barrel-aged Pinot Noir, complemented by Frühburgunder and cuvées. Fresh white wines – Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Müller-Thurgau – and rosés are also on the program.
The culinary offerings are oriented towards the garden party format. Classic Rhenish-Hessian dishes such as Spundekäs, Handkäs with music, Bratwurst, and steaks are complemented by lighter summer specialties: cold platters, fresh salads, cheese, bread and spreads, pasta variations, vegetarian options. An ice cream counter or a sweet stand with plum cake, crumble, and summer berries rounds off the offer.
Moderate musical accompaniment – acoustic, singer-songwriter, small bands – fits the relaxed garden atmosphere and never exceeds the character of the festival as a convivial gathering in the green.
The garden party at Weingut Hamm is part of the Wine Estate Festivals series 2026, which focuses on the Ingelheim wineries and their courtyards for several weekends from July to August.
The 2026 edition continues the proven concept of the garden party. In case of bad weather, there are alternative options in covered areas.
The exact program for 2026 will be published by Weingut Hamm in good time. The structure follows the proven key points of previous years.
