The Schwanenstadt Party is one of the most charming summer bashes on the Lower Rhine: an after-work event that turns Kleve's city center into an open-air meeting point on Friday evenings. On Friday, June 26, 2026, the next edition will take place at Pastor-Leinung-Platz — one of the central squares of the "Swan City" Kleve.

Program

Live Music

On a small open-air stage, regional bands and DJs perform: cover pop, acoustic songs, soul, funk, house — the program suits the after-work atmosphere and remains relaxed. The exact lineup will be announced by the organizer Kleve erleben e.V. about two to four weeks before the date on the website and social media.

Food Trucks

Food trucks around the square offer street food: burgers, Vietnamese bowls, fries, vegetarian wraps, sweets. Lower Rhine cuisine is also represented with local vendors (bacon pancakes, bratwurst).

Cocktail Lounge

A cocktail lounge with high tables, a bar, and designer sofas transforms the square into an open-air city bar. Classic cocktails (Aperol, Hugo, Gin Tonic, Negroni) and modern creations (non-alcoholic mocktails) make the Schwanenstadt Party one of the most popular summer bashes on the Lower Rhine.

Beer and Wine

Draft beer — typical Lower Rhine and Rhenish breweries — as well as a small selection of wines complete the beverage offerings.

Kleve — the Swan City

Kleve is a small city of around 50,000 inhabitants on the Lower Rhine, directly on the Dutch border, in the district of Kleve. The nickname "Swan City" comes from its swan coat of arms and the Lohengrin legend. The city combines historical heritage (Schwanenburg castle, Spoy Canal) with a vibrant city center — the Schwanenstadt Party is one of the newest and most popular events.
