Large electronic open-air at Allgäu Airport with 150 acts on 8 stages
The Ikarus Festival is one of the largest electronic music festivals in Southern Germany. The venue is Allgäu Airport Memmingen, a former military airfield in the municipality of Memmingerberg in the district of Unterallgäu, right in the heart of Bavaria. Over three festival days, around 120,000 ravers are expected, along with more than 150 acts on eight stages.
The music genres range from House and Techno to Hard Techno and Hardstyle, Psytrance, Hardcore, and EDM. Each stage has its own character: the Olymp Stage is the main stage, the Minos Tent (curated by Contact) is dedicated to Techno, and the Nox Stage (Hardshift) to Hardstyle and Hardcore. The Forest Stage focuses on melodic sounds, the Hade Cage on Hard Techno, and the Medusa Jungle on Psytrance. Additionally, there's the Onos Shelter for hybrid rave and other performance areas.
The lineup includes Paul Kalkbrenner, Scooter Live, Ski Aggu, Brutalismus 3000 Live, Deborah De Luca, Reinier Zonneveld Live, Bunt., and Lilly Palmer b2b Maddix. The program runs daily from 3 PM to 4 AM.
Ikarus is a classic camping festival: the campsite, covering over 200,000 square meters, opens on Thursday, offering Basic, Comfort, Caravan, and a new Car Camping area. On-site facilities include a beverage market, a supermarket, and workshops. Payment is entirely cashless. Even helicopter sightseeing flights over the festival grounds are offered.
With its location at Allgäu Airport between Memmingen and Memmingerberg, the festival combines the international electronic scene with Bavarian hospitality. During the festival period, Unterallgäu becomes a festival region, with numerous shuttle services and public transport connections from surrounding train stations.
The 2026 edition of the Ikarus Festival will take place from May 22 to 25, 2026, at Allgäu Airport in Memmingerberg. Over eight stages, more than 150 acts are expected, ranging from House and Techno to Hardstyle, Hardcore, Psytrance, and EDM.
Highlights include Paul Kalkbrenner, Scooter Live, Ski Aggu, Brutalismus 3000 Live, Deborah De Luca, Reinier Zonneveld Live, Bunt., and Lilly Palmer b2b Maddix. New additions include the Car Camping area; the main stage has been modernized, and the stage layout has been revised.
