30th Honberg-Sommer — The Anniversary
From Friday, July 10th, to Sunday, July 26th, 2026, the Honberg-Sommer celebrates its 30th anniversary. The anniversary edition combines the festival's musical focuses — pop, rock, soul, singer-songwriter, Schlager — with special highlights such as the hard rock legend Gotthard, the young pop band ClockClock, the singer-songwriter Michael Schulte, and the Swiss voice RIAN.
Classics of the Honberg-Sommer remain the gigantic 26-meter round tent with all-day seating, the free beer garden stage (before each concert, often featuring young bands from the region), the traditional Sunday morning pint gatherings, and the extensive family program. Free admission to morning pint gatherings, senior afternoon, church service, and children's program.

Honberg-Sommer — 30 Years of Festival Tradition
The Honberg-Sommer was launched in 1995 and celebrates its thirtieth anniversary in 2026. What started as a small idea by the Tuttlingen city administration and Tuttlinger Hallen has become one of the most important summer festivals in Baden-Württemberg — and for many people in Southern Germany, it's the festival of choice. The Honberg-Sommer is organized by Tuttlinger Hallen GmbH; supported by a network of local clubs that handle catering, setup, and service.
Honberg Castle Ruins — A Spectacular Stage
The venue is the Honberg Castle Ruins, a late medieval fortress on a mountain spur 200 meters above the Danube. From here, you have a far-reaching view over the Danube valley and the Swabian Jura — a vista that has become a standard photo for Honberg-Sommer visitors. On the castle grounds, there is a large 26-meter diameter round tent for the main concerts, plus the free beer garden stage with catering for the morning pint gatherings and a dedicated family area.
The Program — From Pop to Classical
What sets the Honberg-Sommer apart is its musical diversity: pop, rock, Schlager, soul, singer-songwriters, comedy, classical, and jazz alternate over the 17 festival days. International stars like Steve Winwood, Nena, Roger Hodgson, Joe Satriani, INXS, Foreigner, and Art Garfunkel are immortalized on the Honberg guest list. In addition, there is the free beer garden stage (before every main concert), the traditional Sunday morning pint gatherings (July 12th, 19th, 26th — free), the senior afternoon (July 13th, free), the ecumenical church service (July 12th), and a dedicated children's program with shuttle service.
Tuttlingen and the Swabian Jura
Tuttlingen (Tuttlingen district, AGS 08327, around 36,000 inhabitants) is located on the upper reaches of the Danube, in the south of the Swabian Jura. The city is one of the most important medical technology metropolises in the world — and with the Honberg-Sommer, one of the most important festival cities in Southern Germany. During the festival, the entire city center is in a state of excitement: restaurants and hotels are booked out months in advance, and the Danube promenade becomes a festival promenade.
