„Umsonst und Draußen“ — over 30 acts on two stages by the swimming pool with headliners Soulbound and Hi! Spencer
What began as a small club idea is now one of the most well-known free festivals in Ostwestfalen: The Holter Meeting brings over 30 acts to two stages every year at the end of August — all organized entirely by volunteers and free for visitors. The organizer is Holter Meeting e.V., and the festival is financed by beverage sales, club members, and regional sponsors.
The Kraftwerkbühne and the EMS-Bühne alternate in concert programming — no overlapping sets, every act gets its undivided attention. The genre spectrum ranges from Modern Metal and Indie-Rock to Punk and Hardcore: a classic “festival for everyone who loves music” concept.
Friday will be headlined by Soulbound, one of Germany's most exciting modern metal bands of recent years, delivering a powerful performance with clear expression. Saturday will feature Hi! Spencer with their fresh indie-rock sound and new album.
The Holter Meeting consciously focuses on its younger audience as well: On Saturday afternoon, Jonny Karacho will perform a children's concert (2:00 PM–3:00 PM) — indie rock for kids, proving that festival vibes can work for the little ones too.
Schloß Holte-Stukenbrock is located in the Gütersloh district in Ostwestfalen-Lippe (North Rhine-Westphalia). The festival meadow by the swimming pool is the ideal festival location: centrally located, good public transport connections, ample space for stages, backstage, and catering — and short distances to the town center for accommodation.
