Obertürkheim — Stuttgart's Wine-Growing District

Obertürkheim is located in the Stuttgart district (AGS 08111) on the eastern bank of the Neckar, between Bad Cannstatt and Untertürkheim. The district is part of the Stuttgart wine-growing region — the slopes above the Neckar produce Trollinger, Lemberger, Riesling, Spätburgunder, as well as Müller-Thurgau and Kerner. Weingut Zaiß is one of the traditional family wineries in the district with its own vinotheque and courtyard — the venue for the eleven-day summer courtyard festival.

Eleven-Day Summer Festival August 7th–17th, 2026

The Haus- & Hoffest is one of the longest-running courtyard festivals in Stuttgart: eleven days from Friday, August 7th, to Monday, August 17th, 2026. The concept is classic: daily from 6 PM, refreshments will be served in the courtyard under chestnut and linden trees with wine tasting, sparkling wine, punch, cocktails, and homemade cuisine. Additional live music events on weekends.

Music Program — Highlights

• Sunday, August 9th, 2026, midday: Jazz Brunch with Iris Oettinger & Band — Swing, standards, vocal jazz under the chestnut trees
• Monday–Tuesday, August 10th–11th, from 6 PM: Party Band ALPENSTARKSTROM — Alpine folk-rock mix with a Württemberg touch
• Saturday, August 15th, from 6 PM: Kleinmatzenbacher
• Sunday, August 16th, midday: Men's Choir "Eintracht Obertürkheim" with Kleinmatzenbacher — Swabian vocal culture
• Monday, August 17th, from 6 PM: Accordionist Tanja Baumeiser — Festival finale

Württemberg Wines from the Estate

Weingut Zaiß offers a wide selection of Württemberg wines from its own vineyards around Obertürkheim and Untertürkheim. Available at the courtyard festival:

• Trollinger — the Württemberg classic, light and red-berry
• Lemberger — full-bodied, dark red, spicy
• Riesling — dry or semi-dry
• Spätburgunder — Pinot Noir from Württemberg
• Sekt (sparkling wine) — produced in-house, similar to Crémant
• Homemade Punch and summery cocktails

Homemade Cuisine to Complement the Wine

The homemade cuisine is part of its identity: Vesper platters with Black Forest ham and cheese, Maultaschen, Käsespätzle, Swabian lentil stew, grilled bratwurst, light salads in summer, Baden-Mediterranean antipasti. For the Sunday brunch, Weißwurst and pretzels are served.
