17th edition of Germany's largest and oldest Bachata festival
Over 17 editions, the Bachata Festival Germany has become the largest and oldest Bachata festival in Germany. The venue is the Sängerhalle Untertürkheim in Stuttgart – an event hall with over 3,000 square meters of dance floor, offering ample space for dancers of all levels and styles. The 17th edition in 2026 will bring several thousand dancers from all over Germany and Europe to Stuttgart.
Not all Bachata is the same. The festival presents the most important styles with dedicated workshop tracks and floor areas:
Additionally, there are dedicated Salsa floors for the many dancers who master both dances.
The festival runs from Thursday to Monday and is divided into the following program blocks:
A special innovation for the 17th edition: the JACK & JILL Championship Germany – a competition held in Germany for the first time. In a JACK & JILL competition, dance partners are randomly assigned and must dance spontaneously to music chosen by the DJ. This competition format measures true dancing ability, not choreographed monotony. JACK & JILL has long been standard internationally; this is its first time in Germany.
Over 50 workshops are spread throughout the weekend. Internationally sought-after artists from the USA, the Dominican Republic, Spain, and all over Europe teach all levels – from absolute beginners to professionals. The DJ crew consists of international Bachata specialists who authentically cater to each of the four styles.
The classic highlight of every Bachata Festival Germany is the Gala Night: elegant attire, show performances by instructors and top professionals, the best music program, and a dance banquet that lasts until the early morning hours. Anyone who has experienced a Bachata Gala Night once will return regularly.
