One of the largest HipHop open-airs in Southern Germany
The Heroes Festival Geiselwind is, alongside the major sister festivals of the Heroes organizer, one of the most significant HipHop festivals in Southern Germany. Geiselwind is located on the A3 motorway between Würzburg and Nuremberg — the Autohof Geiselwind, formerly known purely as a rest stop location, has developed into a nationally important venue with the adjacent Eventzentrum Strohofer. The Heroes Festival utilizes this unusual setting of a large parking lot, several halls, and an open-air festival meadow.
The lineup focuses on a mix of mainstream headliners and established underground acts. Headliners of past and upcoming editions have included Bonez MC, Haftbefehl, Bausa, RIN, Kool Savas, SSIO, and Sierra Kidd. Around 30 acts are spread across two to three stages per edition — the mix of trap, cloud rap, German rap, battle rap, and HipHop classics makes the festival interesting across genres.
A special feature is the Premium Area with its own bar, comfortable lounge furniture, separate sanitary facilities, and exclusive stage view — this upgrade is accessible via the Premium Weekend Pass (from €245). Additionally, there are Buddy Bundles for companions and tiered day tickets for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
Heroes Geiselwind offers its own camping infrastructure on the festival grounds — reserved camping spots from €39. Campervan spots regularly sell out, so early booking is recommended. Travel is via the A3 (Geiselwind exit) — one of the most convenient open-air locations in Germany for visitors from Southern Germany, as the festival grounds are located directly at the motorway junction.
Under the motto Your Sound. Your Summer., Heroes presents itself as a festival with its own identity — neither a street credibility festival nor a purely mainstream event, but a mix of both. The fact that even acts like Haftbefehl, who rarely play festivals, perform here has given the Heroes Festival considerable appeal in recent years.
The 2026 festival edition takes place from June 19 to 20, 2026, at the Eventzentrum Strohofer in Geiselwind, with a warm-up day on Thursday, June 18. The lineup, featuring about 30 acts on multiple stages, is headlined by Bonez MC and Haftbefehl.
Further confirmed acts include: Bausa, RIN, Kool Savas, SSIO, Sierra Kidd, as well as numerous other artists from the German rap scene. The festival motto is Your Sound. Your Summer.
