Free admission live festival for upcoming bands – one stop in the Hof district
The Youth Gone Wild Live Festival is a project by the Municipal Youth Work of the Hof District. The goal is to create a "vibrant platform for emerging artists" and bring live music to smaller communities without the audience having to travel long distances. The series consists of four stops in the Hof district: Berg (May 2026), Münchberg (June 2026), Naila (June 2026), and Oberkotzau (July 2026).
The Berg stop in May 2026 will take place in the multi-purpose building at Schlegelweg 3, 95180 Berg. Program time: 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Free admission from age 14. Young people from Berg will select three to four acts from the received band applications, who will then receive coaching on sound and vocals/instrumentals – applications are possible until March 31st. The program is funded by the Sparkassenstiftung.
The concept is aimed at bands of all genres from the Hof region. By distributing the events across four municipalities in the district, performance venues are created for upcoming bands that would otherwise be limited to a few stages in the city of Hof. Berg opens the 2026 season as the first stop, thus using the multi-purpose building as a municipal live stage.
Berg is a municipality in the Hof district on the Saale river (Upper Franconia) with just under 2,300 inhabitants. Its location at the gateway to the Frankenwald and Vogtland makes Berg a fixed point in the cultural program of Hof Municipal Youth Work. With the Youth Gone Wild Live Festival series, the district is positioning itself as a supporter of regional emerging art.
The May stop in Berg opens the 2026 season of the four-part Youth Gone Wild Live Festival series in the Hof district. Three to four bands from the Hof region will each play for approx. 30–45 minutes – the lineup will be selected by the local youth team from the received band applications and announced a few weeks before the event. Free admission from age 14, program from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
Bands of all genres from the Hof region can apply by March 31st. Coaching on sound and vocals/instrumentals included.
Free admission, ages 14+. No advance tickets.
Berg is accessible by car via the A9 (exit Berg/Bad Steben) or the B173. Hof train station is the nearest long-distance connection, from there take a bus or taxi to Berg. The multi-purpose building is in the town center (Schlegelweg 3).
Free admission from age 14. No advance tickets needed.
Bands from the Hof region can apply for the series until March 31st. Contact: Petra Schultz, Municipal Youth Work Hof District, [email protected], Tel. 09281 57-434. Band coaching on sound and vocals/instrumentals is part of the program.
