Anniversary Open-Air at Wuppertal's Waldbühne — the Folk Metal band celebrates a decade with Manntra and Habenichtse as guests
The German Folk Rock Metal band dArtagnan is celebrating their tenth anniversary in 2026. To mark the occasion, the band is hosting a Heldenfest on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at the Waldbühne on Hardt in Wuppertal — an open-air festival exclusively for this anniversary, celebrating a decade of the band's history with guests, old hits, and new songs.
Since 2016, dArtagnan has been one of Germany's most successful Folk Rock bands. Inspired by Alexandre Dumas' swashbuckling novels, the band combines acoustic folk elements, rock energy, and metal intensity. Their debut album achieved gold status, and the band has been touring regularly throughout Germany and Europe ever since. The Heldenfest's anniversary concept: "More than just music" — a celebration of community, the band's history, and the Folk Rock scene.
The guest list for 2026 has been carefully curated:
The Waldbühne on Hardt is one of North Rhine-Westphalia's most beautiful small open-air stages. Located amidst the Wuppertal city forest, it accommodates approximately 2,000 spectators in an amphitheater-like semi-circle. The acoustics are excellent, and the atmosphere is intimate — ideal for an anniversary concert that aims to be more than just a stadium show. Those who have been here before know the special feeling when the summer evening sun filters through the trees, and the band plays on stage against the natural backdrop.
Entry for regular tickets begins in the afternoon, with the show starting at 5:30 PM. VIP packages, including 3:00 PM entry, a meet-and-greet, photo session, exclusive merchandise, and a small unplugged concert by the band, were available — but are now sold out as of this publication. Regular tickets are still available through the dArtagnan ticket shop.
Wuppertal, located in the Bergisches Land region, has around 360,000 inhabitants. Famous for its suspension railway (Schwebebahn) and the Pina Bausch dance theater, the city boasts an active music scene, with the Waldbühne on Hardt being one of its well-known concert venues. Those combining the concert with a visit to Wuppertal should plan a ride on the Schwebebahn — a unique experience in Germany.
