The Happiness Festival in Straubenhardt-Schwann is the largest music festival with an attached campsite in the Karlsruhe-Stuttgart metropolitan area and is one of the most important open-air events in southern Baden-Württemberg. From Thursday, July 16th to Saturday, July 18th, 2026, the festival meadow at Kernstraße 51 (Schwann district) will open for the 15th time — with a capacity of 14,500 visitors per day. The 2026 festival is completely sold out. The organizer is Happiness Festival GmbH, based in Karlsruhe.
20 Acts, Focus on Hip-Hop, Pop, and Indie-Pop
The 2026 lineup includes 20 confirmed acts with a focus on German-language Hip-Hop, Pop, and Indie-Pop. Headliners include 01099, SSIO, SDP, Marteria, Giant Rooks, Ikkimel, DJ Ötzi, Makko, Bausa, Berq, Ritter Lean, Esther Graf, Anaïs, ok.danke.tschüss, Majan, PaulWetz, Vicky, and lovehead. The mix of Hip-Hop stars, Indie bands, and Pop acts makes the festival a stage for young German-language music in its full spectrum.
15 Years of Festival History
Founded in 2011, the Happiness Festival has built a loyal fan base over 15 years. Recurring acts like Irie Révoltés (5 performances), Alligatoah (4 performances), and Drunken Masters (4 performances) have shaped the festival's history. The 2025 edition featured headliners such as K.I.Z, Nina Chuba, and Tream — a direction consistently continued in 2026 with a focus on young German-language Hip-Hop and Indie-Pop.
Straubenhardt-Schwann in the Enzkreis
Straubenhardt is a municipality of 11,000 inhabitants in the Enzkreis district on the northern edge of the Northern Black Forest, between Pforzheim and Karlsruhe. The Schwann district is located at the transition to the Black Forest — agricultural land and forest areas form the backdrop for the festival meadow. Its location in the "corridor" between Karlsruhe (40 km) and Stuttgart (60 km) makes the site logistically ideal: festival fans from all over the southwest can travel easily. With the attached Happi-BnB campsite, the festival weekend becomes a compact festival city on the edge of the Black Forest.

Getting There
Straubenhardt-Schwann is located between Pforzheim and Karlsruhe in the Enzkreis district. By car via the A 8 (exit Pforzheim-Nord, then B 294/L 340) or from Karlsruhe via the B 294. By train, the nearest station is Pforzheim (ICE/IC), with shuttle buses to the festival from there. Camping is available directly at the festival grounds (Happi-BnB).
