Summer Festival on the Zernsee

The Hafenfest Werder (Havel) brings the atmosphere of a Volksfest (public festival) to the promenade of the Havelauen at the end of July and beginning of August. For three days, the shore of the large Zernsee transforms into a festival mile with a stage program, street food stalls, and showmen – nestled in the picturesque location between water, meadows, and orchards. The town of Werder/Havel is located just 15 kilometers west of Potsdam and is connected to Berlin via the Havel River.

The Blossom Town Werder

For centuries, Werder has been known as the "fruit basket of Brandenburg." The town in the Potsdam-Mittelmark district extends across an island in the Havel River and the surrounding mainland. Landmarks such as the post mill, the historic island town, and the Blossom Festival have made Werder famous far beyond the region. The Hafenfest in the Havelauen complements this tradition with a modern summer festival by the water.
