From November 13, 2026, to January 3, 2027, the Harbour Christmas Market at the Chocolate Museum invites you to experience maritime Advent atmosphere on Cologne's Rheinauhafen. Located directly on the Rhine, with views of the historic swing bridge, the Malakoff Tower, and the modern Kranhäuser. Over 25 years of tradition. Open daily 11 am–9 pm, Friday and Saturday until 10 pm. Free admission. The longest of Cologne's Christmas markets and the only one directly on the water — mulled wine, potato pancakes, arts and crafts, ship atmosphere, and Cologne sound.

Rheinauhafen at the Chocolate Museum: KVB Line 7 (Severinstraße), then a 10-minute walk. Or Line 16 (Ubierring). By car, use the Chocolate Museum car park or Severinstraße.

Cologne has many Christmas markets — the Cathedral, Heumarkt, Rudolfplatz, Neumarkt — but only one is directly on the water: the Harbour Christmas Market at the Chocolate Museum, located on Rheinauhafen. For over 25 years, it has been a firm fixture of Cologne's Advent season and, with its seven-week run, also the longest of its kind.

The three striking Kranhäuser dominate the skyline, and the Chocolate Museum on its peninsula between the Rhine and the harbour has become a landmark.
