Giechburg Yoga Festival 2026
The 2026 edition runs on September 26th and 27th at the medieval Giechburg. Five teachers offer a packed program of various yoga and movement styles, held indoors or outdoors depending on the weather.
Schedule
Admission from 8:00 AM, program from 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM on both days. The final schedule will be published three days before the festival. Catering at the Burgrestaurant.

Getting There
Scheßlitz is located in the Bamberg district, easily accessible via the A70 motorway (Scheßlitz exit). Free parking is available at the hiking car park; from there, it's a 10–15 minute uphill walk to the Giechburg.
Tickets
Early bird prices until May 1st, 2026: Day ticket €59, Weekend ticket €99. Afterwards, day ticket €69, weekend ticket €120. Tickets available via OKTicket.de, among others.
What to Bring
Your own yoga mat, block, and blanket. No showers on site. Food available at the Burgrestaurant; outside food allowed.
Yoga Against a Medieval Backdrop
The Giechburg Yoga Festival combines intensive yoga practice with an extraordinary location: the Giechburg, a medieval hilltop castle at around 500 meters above the valley near Scheßlitz in the Bamberg district. The sweeping view over the Franconian landscape makes this two-day festival a special experience.

Five experienced teachers design a broad program:

- Verena Teuber — Yoga (including prenatal/postnatal), Pilates, physiotherapy-based instruction
Daily Schedule
Admission is daily from 8:00 AM, with the program running from 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Depending on the weather, sessions will take place indoors or outdoors; the final schedule will be published three days before the festival. The Burgrestaurant (castle restaurant) at Giechburg provides catering; outside food is permitted.
Participation Guidelines
Participants should bring their own yoga mats, blocks, and blankets. There are no shower facilities on site. Payment is possible by cash and card.
