Getting There
Gevelsberg Hauptbahnhof (S8 from Wuppertal and Hagen), then approx. 10 min. walk to Mittelstraße. By car: A1 / A46 Gevelsberg exit. Parking on surrounding streets — Mittelstraße and Neustraße are closed.

Gevelsberger Frühling — the season opener in the Ennepe-Ruhr district
On Sunday, March 15, 2026, from 1 PM to 6 PM, ProCity Gevelsberg e.V. calls for the Gevelsberger Frühling again. The car-free Mittelstraße becomes a promenade, Neustraße a stage — and Gevelsberg celebrates the start of the warm season with a packed program of markets, shopping, sports, and live music.

- Individual participation from 12:00 PM–1:45 PM possible without pre-registration

Mittelstraße Car-Free
For the festival, Mittelstraße and Neustraße will be closed from Saturday evening 7 PM until Sunday evening 9 PM. The pedestrian zone gains significantly in experiential character — stalls, tables, and stages can be set up generously.

The city of Gevelsberg (approx. 31,000 inhabitants) is located in the Ennepe-Ruhr district (North Rhine-Westphalia) between Hagen, Wuppertal, and Schwelm. It is part of the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan region and known for its compact city center with a pedestrian zone, its steel industry history, and the EN-Südkreis hospital. The Gevelsberger Frühling is one of the most important dates in the city center calendar, alongside the city festival and the Advent market.

The organizer is ProCity Gevelsberg e.V., the marketing association of the city center stakeholders. The spring event is supported by the City of Gevelsberg, AVU (energy and water provider), and Sparkasse an Ennepe und Ruhr.
