On August 29 and 30, 2026, the Maximilianpark Hamm will celebrate its big open-air garden party as part of the Hamm800 city anniversary. Three DJ zones will be spread throughout the park from 7 PM to 1 AM: the "Wiese am Elefanten" with 70s/80s/90s classics (DJ bus "LILABEDFORD" with Torsten Matschke and Toshi), the Schlager action pit with DJ Balineiroden, and the "Ibiza Floor" at the beer garden with Thommy Smooth and Harry Bee. Summer Night in the Maxipark — Three Floors, One Park

The Gartenparty im Maxipark is one of the most vibrant summer dance events in western Westphalia — and for the 800th anniversary of the city of Hamm in 2026, it has been upgraded to a weekend format. On Saturday, August 29 and Sunday, August 30, 2026, from 7:00 PM to 1:00 AM each day, the Maximilianpark Hamm will transform into an open-air dance stage with three themed floors.

Three Zones — Three Sounds

Meadow by the Elephant — 70s/80s/90s Floor

On the "Wiese am Elefanten" (named after the park's iconic elephant sculpture), the DJ bus "LILABEDFORD" will pull up — with DJ Torsten Matschke and DJ Toshi. Program: the greatest hits of the 70s, 80s, and 90s — from Disco to Funk to Eurodance.

Action Pit — Schlager Floor

In the Aktionsmulde, DJ Balineiroden dominates with party hits and Disco Fox classics. The DJ is known for TV appearances and international Schlager stages — a Schlager dance program with audience interaction.

Biergarten/Workshop — Ibiza Floor

In the Biergarten and the Werkstatt, local DJs Thommy Smooth and Harry Bee will create a relaxed club sound — Disco-easy listening with an Ibiza vibe. The sound is suitable for a more relaxed dance floor and for later in the night.

Chill-Out Zone Above the Rose Hill

A chill-out zone with seating and atmospheric decoration has been set up above the Rosenhügel — for anyone who needs a break between floors. An added bonus: the Maxipark offers plenty of atmosphere beyond the DJ floors.

Maximilianpark Hamm

The Maximilianpark was created in 1984 on the site of the former Zeche Maximilian — today one of the most important industrial heritage parks in the Ruhr area, known for its Glass Elephant from the former coal washing plant. The park hosts various summer events and is particularly active as part of the HAMM800 anniversary in 2026.
