Three-day meeting of historic tractors on the Weser dike
The Ackeroldies Wesermarsch is an association of enthusiasts and restorers of historic agricultural machinery. Their annual meeting at the Juliusplate campsite has become a firm fixture in the North German vintage vehicle calendar. Over 60 vehicles are registered each year – from classic Lanz Bulldog and Eicher Diesel to Deutz, Hanomag, and Massey Ferguson, as well as rare North German custom builds. Many machines have been lovingly restored over years in garages and barns and are proudly presented here.
The meet spans three days. The first participants arrive on Friday and set up their pitches. Saturday and Sunday are the main days with demonstrations, parade rides through Berne, hands-on activities for children, and extensive technical discussions. Live music and catering stands provide food and atmosphere. Those who don't own a vintage vehicle themselves can stroll around the grounds, chat with the owners, and experience a piece of agricultural technology history.
The location on the Weser dike gives the meet a special charm: while the tractors are on the festival grounds, freighters and sports boats pass by on the Weser. Walks on the dike are part of the program for many visitors. The atmosphere is warm and unpretentious – a true enthusiasts' meet that is also open to families and day visitors.
The 2026 edition continues the series of Ackeroldies meets on the Weser dike. The first participants will arrive on Friday, September 4th. Saturday and Sunday are the main days with demonstrations and a parade. Registration for participants is via the Juliusplate campsite.
As in previous years, over 60 historic agricultural and towing machines are expected. Some models are rarities in Northern Germany and are brought from further afield specifically for the Berne meet.
The exact program for 2026 will be published by the organizer. The structure follows the proven cornerstones of previous years:
