A Village Festival with Brass Music Tradition
For many years, the Gartenfest Kissendorf has been a fixed date in the event calendar of the municipality of Bibertal. It is organized by the Musikverein Eintracht Kissendorf e.V., an association whose roots lie in traditional brass music. With polkas, marches, and concert pieces, the band creates a festive atmosphere at village festivals, in beer gardens, and at celebrations – and their own Gartenfest is the highlight and flagship of the association's year.
Festival Tent Around the Multi-Purpose Hall
The venue is the grounds of the Kissendorf Multi-Purpose Hall, a district of Bibertal. In the covered festival tent, guests will find a sheltered spot even in unpredictable June weather. The association manages the catering itself: hearty delicacies, coffee and cake on Sunday afternoons, and regional drinks, including those from the Autenrieder Schlossbrauerei, are part of the regular repertoire.
Music from Friendly Bands
The Gartenfest thrives on the cooperation of the region's brass music associations. In addition to the host Musikverein Eintracht Kissendorf, friendly ensembles perform, including the Jugendblasorchester Bibertal and the BMG Bellenberg. Sunday is traditionally the most musically packed day with a continuous program from morning to evening.
Brass Music in the Bibertal Valley
The municipality of Bibertal cultivates a vibrant brass music scene: In addition to the Musikverein Eintracht Kissendorf, the Lyra Echlishausen/Bühl music band also shapes musical life. The Gartenfest is therefore not just an association festival, but a piece of lived Swabian festival culture where generations come together.
For the Whole Family
With a festival tent, music, children's program, and a cozy end to the evening, the Gartenfest is aimed at families, association friends, and anyone who appreciates a down-to-earth village festival away from the big Volksfeste (popular festivals).
