Gaimersheim Volksfest

A Classic in the Ingolstadt Region with its 41st Edition

The Gaimersheim Volksfest is one of the most traditional spring Volksfeste in the Upper Bavarian region surrounding Ingolstadt. 2026 will mark the 41st edition — initiated in the mid-1980s by the shooting club and the market municipality, the festival has since become a major event in the region, attracting visitors from the entire Eichstätt district and the Danube city of Ingolstadt every year.

Gaimersheim — Right at the Gates of Ingolstadt

With over 12,000 inhabitants, Gaimersheim is one of the largest market municipalities in the Eichstätt district (State of Bavaria). Located directly on the northern outskirts of Ingolstadt, the town benefits from the Audi city and its commuter belt. The festival grounds at Römerstraße offer ample space for the renowned Schneider festival family's beer tent, complemented by an amusement park with rides.

What's on Offer

• Beer Tapping: Opening on Friday evening at 5 PM with a concert and ceremonial tapping
• Festzelt Schneider: Bavarian beer tent atmosphere with roast chicken, grilled fish, pretzels, and festival beer
• Gaimersheim Brass Band: traditional brass music during the procession into the tent
• Band Program: several show bands on the evenings (including Frontal)
• Sunday: Festival service with the youth brass band and the men's choir
• Family Program: Amusement park with classic rides, shooting galleries, candy stalls

Organizer Structure

The organization is shared: The market municipality of Gaimersheim is responsible for the festival grounds and permits. The Hubertus Gaimersheim shooting club traditionally organizes the parades and the supporting program related to shooting culture. Festzelt Schneider GmbH from Bavaria provides the beer tent with its own catering — a Wiesn festival host family active at numerous Volksfeste in Upper Bavaria.
