Volksfest at the Gateway to the Franconian Jura
The Lentinger Jurafest is the most important Volksfest (traditional festival) of the municipality of Lenting in the Upper Bavarian district of Eichstätt in Bavaria, located on the edge of the Franconian Jura (Jura) near Ingolstadt. This traditional festival has a long history – with the most recent editions already celebrating over 57 Jurafeste.
Festival Marquee, Beer Tapping, and Brass Music
The centerpiece is the large festival marquee on the Volksfest grounds. After the ceremonial beer tapping on Thursday or Friday evening, brass bands, party bands, and mood music ensure a lively atmosphere throughout the festival days. Amusement Rides and Family Program

Jurafest Lenting — edition 2026
The Lentinger Jurafest 2026 will be celebrated on the first weekend of September. The opening in the Anthofer festival marquee is scheduled for Friday, September 11, 2026, from 7 PM; the festival traditionally lasts until Sunday or Monday. After the ceremonial beer tapping, brass bands, party bands, and mood music will ensure a lively atmosphere in the marquee. Amusement rides, showmen, and culinary stalls invite visitors to linger on the festival grounds. The exact daily program will be announced by the municipality of Lenting at short notice.

Getting There
Lenting is located in the Eichstätt district of Upper Bavaria, immediately northeast of Ingolstadt, accessible via the A9 (Lenting exit) and regional roads. Parking available at the festival grounds.
Admission
Entry to the Volksfest grounds is free; marquee program, amusement rides, and refreshments are at usual Volksfest prices.
Tip
