The Lentinger Jurafest is the major Volksfest (traditional festival) of the municipality of Lenting in the Upper Bavarian district of Eichstätt, on the edge of the Franconian Jura. Every year on the first weekend of September, the festival grounds with the traditional marquee are transformed into a cheerful festival mile: beer tapping, marquee entertainment with brass bands and party bands, amusement rides, and culinary specialties attract visitors from far and wide. The Jurafest has a long tradition – recent editions have already celebrated over 57 editions – and is a social highlight in the region around Ingolstadt.
