Traditional Volksfest on the Ketschenanger in Upper Franconia
The Frühlingsfest Coburg is the traditional Volksfest with which the independent city of Coburg in northern Bavaria annually ushers in spring and the Volksfest season. The venue is the festival grounds at Ketschenanger on Schützenstraße, a central and easily accessible festival area in the city in the Upper Franconia district.
The Frühlingsfest looks back on decades of tradition and is a firm fixture in the spring calendar for many Coburg residents. It is one of the city's social highlights and attracts visitors from all over the Coburg region as well as the Coburg.Rennsteig holiday region.

The Volksfest, with decades of tradition, opens daily in the afternoon (usually from 2 p.m.) and offers numerous attractive rides, musical entertainment, and a wide selection of festival gastronomy. Admission is free. During the festival period, parking around Ketschenanger is limited.

Coburg is located in northern Bavaria near the border with Thuringia. Coburg is easily accessible by train via the ICE line; from the station, Ketschenanger can be reached on foot or by bus. By car, take the A73 (Coburg exit). During the festival period, parking around Ketschenanger is limited – travel by public transport is recommended.
