Fourth edition of the rbb Radio Fritz festival with IKKIMEL as headliner — on August 29, 2026
The Waschhaus in Schiffbauergasse 6, right on Tiefen See, has been Potsdam's most important alternative cultural center for over 30 years. The former garrison laundry now houses a concert hall, galleries, a cinema, rehearsal rooms, and a spacious outdoor area. With over 400 events annually, it is one of Brandenburg's most versatile cultural centers — from indie concerts and electronic parties to theater productions and exhibitions.
Fritz Open Air is the annual summer festival of the rbb youth radio station Radio Fritz (Berlin-Brandenburg). The station has been producing programming for younger audiences for over 30 years and is considered an important supporter of the German-language pop, hip-hop, and indie scene. The festival began in 2023 and takes place annually at the end of August at Waschhaus. 2026 marks its fourth edition — proof that the format is successful.
IKKIMEL (Headliner): emerging Berlin artist with a mix of pop, indie, and electronic elements. Her performances are known for being energetic and visually striking. FILOW: German singer-songwriter with a delicate, melancholic pop style. KAYLA SHYX: indie-pop singer, one of the most exciting newcomers in the German indie scene. AARON: pop artist with crossover tendencies between R&B and pop. YUNG PEPP: hip-hop / cloud rap act with a driving sound. The lineup reflects the musical spectrum of Radio Fritz — from indie sounds to the young German rap scene.
The Waschhaus grounds are fully set up for the festival — an open-air stage in the courtyard, a catering area with food trucks and bars, and merchandise stands. The festival is accessible for people with disabilities. The sound in the courtyard is well-defined by the old industrial walls, and the light show is projected onto the historic facade of the Waschhaus — a unique visual experience compared to classic green-field festival locations. The festival is sold out for 2026; information about a waiting list or remaining tickets at the box office will be communicated based on availability.
The Waschhaus is located in the Dutch Quarter of Potsdam, right on Tiefen See. You can reach Waschhaus in a few minutes via tram 91, 93, or 99 from Potsdam Hbf. From Berlin: S-Bahn S7 from Berlin to Potsdam Hbf (approx. 40 min from Friedrichstraße), then tram. By car: A 115 to Potsdam Zentrum, limited parking available in Schiffbauergasse.
With its fourth edition, Fritz Open Air has established itself as one of the most important festivals for young German pop, indie, and hip-hop acts in Brandenburg. Tickets were already sold out by early 2026, demonstrating the festival's market position. Those who want to attend can follow remaining tickets or waiting lists via Waschhaus newsletters.
The format works: young acts, compact performance times (doors open 3:30 PM, concerts from 4:30 PM), a festival price of €59, and the special open-air atmosphere in the courtyard of Waschhaus on Tiefen See make the event unique in the Berlin-Brandenburg festival calendar.
