Spring in the Village
The Frühlingsfest Liepgarten is one of the most important village festivals in the Amt am Stettiner Haff in the Vorpommern-Greifswald district. It is jointly organised by the support association of the volunteer fire brigade, the association »Gemeinsam in Liepgarten« (Together in Liepgarten), the women's regulars' table, and the municipality of Liepgarten — a prime example of the volunteer-driven village culture in Vorpommern.
Program
Pea soup from the goulash cannon is available from midday. In the afternoon, the Kita »Uns Kinnerhus« (Our Children's House) and the sea shanty choir Segrund Ahlbeck will perform, creating a maritime atmosphere. From the late afternoon onwards, singer Marcus Christiansen takes over the stage, and in the evening, the band Sink Positiv concludes with a live set.
Interactive and Demonstration Program
In addition to the main stage, there will be coffee and cake, a children's program, and a demonstration by the Bundeswehr drone squadron — an unusual offering for village events, referencing the nearby Bundeswehr training area at Eggesin.
Local Context
Liepgarten is located in the Amt am Stettiner Haff in the Vorpommern-Greifswald district, near the Polish border. The region's economy is heavily influenced by the Bundeswehr and tourism on the Oderhaff. The Frühlingsfest marks the start of the season for village and club festivals in the municipality.
Frühlingsfest — edition 2026
On Saturday, May 23, 2026, the municipality of Liepgarten invites you to the Frühlingsfest on the sports ground starting at 2:00 PM. From 12:00 PM, pea soup from the goulash cannon will be served. At 3:00 PM, the Kita »Uns Kinnerhus« will open the stage program. At 3:30 PM, the sea shanty choir Segrund Ahlbeck will create a maritime atmosphere. From 5:00 PM, singer Marcus Christiansen will take the stage. The evening will be musically concluded at 8:00 PM by the band Sink Positiv. In addition, there will be coffee and cake, children's entertainment, a varied supporting program, and a demonstration by the Bundeswehr drone squadron.
