Street Food Meets Campus Atmosphere

In the middle of the historic Upper Palatinate town of Amberg, the campus of the Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule (OTH) Amberg-Weiden transforms into a special kind of festival grounds at the end of July. At the Food Truck Festival Amberg, around two dozen food trucks present their international cuisine – from classic smash burgers and pulled pork sandwiches to Asian bowls and Southern Italian pasta, as well as vegan specialties and sweet highlights like crêpes or ice cream from nitrogen machines.

Three Days of Indulgence and Music

The festival runs from Friday afternoon to Sunday evening. Live DJs, regional bands, and solo performers alternate on stage. The programs range from reggae and funk to acoustic rock and mainstream hits, ensuring there's something for every taste.

Program for the Whole Family

Children are not neglected at the Food Truck Festival: bouncy castles, trampolines, face painting, henna tattoos, and entertainment activities provide fun. A chill-out lounge with cocktails invites for a relaxed end to the day.

Amberg and the Oberpfalz

Amberg is an independent city in the Upper Palatinate administrative region of Bavaria with around 42,000 inhabitants. Known for its completely preserved city wall and the "Stadtbrille" water castle, the city is a popular destination. The OTH campus is located in the north of Amberg near the city center and is easily accessible.
