Traditional Pentecost Volksfest at Miersdorf outdoor pool in Zeuthen, south of Berlin
The Miersdorfer See is a small bathing lake in the town of Zeuthen — southeast of Berlin in the Dahme-Spreewald district, in close proximity to the Wildau/Zeuthen S-Bahn terminus. Every year at Pentecost, the Miersdorf outdoor pool transforms into a festival ground with a stage, stalls, and boat races.
The festival is traditionally held from Pentecost Saturday to Pentecost Monday (or sometimes also Friday). Pentecost 2026 falls on May 22–25; the exact date will be confirmed by the municipality of Zeuthen in good time at zeuthen.de.
The festival premiered in 1993. The 22nd edition took place in 2015, the 23rd edition in 2016 — therefore, the 24th edition is expected around 2026.
The organizer is the municipality of Zeuthen in cooperation with the local swimming club and volunteer helpers. The festival is one of the best-known Pentecost festivals in the southern Berlin surrounding area.
Multi-day Pentecost festival by the lake. Family-friendly format with a stage, water games, and gastronomic specialties — fish in focus.
You can reach Zeuthen in 40 minutes from Berlin Friedrichstraße with the S8/S46 (S-Bahn terminus). From Zeuthen S-Bahn station, it's about a 15-minute walk to the Miersdorf outdoor pool.
Admission to the festival is usually free; payment at the market stalls.
