Five Summer Thursdays Open-Air Tributes

Filstalrock is one of the most distinctive summer events in the Filstal valley: On five summer Thursdays — Thursday tribute concerts — Eislingen Castle Park hosts top-class tribute bands. In 2026, Filstalrock runs on July 30 and the four August Thursdays (August 6, 13, 20, 27). Admission is free.

2026 Program — Five Bands, Five Styles

Kicking off on July 30 is Vier Gewinn — a tribute to Die Fantastischen Vier, the most important German hip-hop band from Stuttgart. On August 6, Frøm Zerø follows with Linkin Park songs — a homage to Chester Bennington, who died in 2017, and the nu-metal genre. On August 13, Radioactive plays Imagine Dragons hits. On August 20, Columbia takes over with Oasis classics (Britpop homage). The grand finale on August 27 features Victoria with Helene Fischer hits — Schlager and folk music for the older generation.

Eislingen Castle Park as an Open-Air Stage

Eislingen Castle Park is one of the most beautiful open-air stages in the Filstal valley. The historic park on the edge of Eislingen/Fils town center offers spacious lawns, shade from trees, and a relaxed atmosphere. The concert stage is set up on Thursday afternoons and used on Thursday evenings — a classic after-work summer format.

Eislingen/Fils in the Upper Filstal

Eislingen/Fils, with its approximately 21,000 inhabitants, is located in the upper Filstal valley in the Göppingen district, on the Stuttgart–Ulm railway line. The town combines industrial tradition (Schäffler fabric) with modern quality of life — and successfully uses Filstalrock, a summer format that makes the town visible beyond the region.

Free Admission — Funded by Sponsors

Filstalrock is completely free — financed by sponsors from the Filstal valley, the City of Eislingen, and catering stands. The combination of a free open-air atmosphere, top-class tribute bands, and a relaxed lawn in the castle park attracts between 1,000 and 5,000 visitors per concert Thursday.
