Festival Week 150 Years FFW Sachrang

150 Years of the Sachrang Fire Brigade

The Sachrang Volunteer Fire Brigade was founded in 1876 and in 2026 looks back on 150 years of voluntary service to the community. Sachrang is a district of the municipality of Aschau im Chiemgau in the Rosenheim district (Bavaria), idyllically located in the Priental valley at the foot of the Chiemgau Alps. The anniversary is celebrated with a multi-day festival week.

Five Days of Festivities

From July 2nd to 6th, 2026, the festival tent on Sachrang's village green will be the center of attention. There will be music, a beer and wine festival, catering, and entertainment for all ages. The patron of the festival is Simon Frank. The commanders and the executive board of the fire brigade cordially invite citizens and guests to celebrate the anniversary together.

The Festival Sunday

The highlight of the festival week is the festival Sunday on July 5th. As is tradition for fire brigade anniversaries, this includes a celebratory church service, a parade with friendly fire brigades and clubs, and celebrating together in the festival tent. Such anniversaries in Bavaria are far more than just club events – they honor voluntary work and strengthen community cohesion.
