Two summer Thursdays neighbourhood market at Lüttringhausen Town Hall with live music and regional products
When live music rings out from the rear courtyard of the Town Hall on a Thursday evening in Lüttringhausen's town centre, it's the Feierabendmarkt: the event has developed into a neighbourhood meeting point in the north of Remscheid since its start in 2024. In 2026, Stadtmarketing Remscheid is offering two dates: Thursday, June 25, and Thursday, August 20 — from 5 p.m. each day.
The market sees itself as a small neighbourhood festival after work: regional producers from the Bergisches Land region offering cheese, sausage, honey, bread, fruit, and vegetables, alongside culinary specialities from snack stands, wine, and beer. Live music fills the courtyard — usually local bands or solo acts. There is a children's programme for families, making the market attractive for the little ones too.
The venue is the rear area of the Town Hall in the Dorp district of Lüttringhausen. The sheltered courtyard location offers a pleasant market atmosphere even in changeable weather. Tables and benches are set up so that guests can enjoy the regional products on site — this makes the Feierabendmarkt a relaxed after-work event.
Lüttringhausen was an independent town until 1929 before becoming a district of Remscheid — and this sense of identity is present in the neighbourhood's life. Remscheid is located in the Bergisches Land region in North Rhine-Westphalia and, along with Wuppertal and Solingen, forms the three-city triangle. The Feierabendmarkt is a proven format with which the city activates its districts — after a successful start in 2024, the concept is confirmed annually.
In 2026, Stadtmarketing Remscheid is once again relying on the proven double-date model with one market Thursday in June and one in August. Both dates start at 5 p.m. and run into the evening. Regional producers, catering stands, live music, and a children's programme characterise the neighbourhood market.

A folding chair or picnic blanket can be useful — the courtyard seating is limited. The market usually takes place even in bad weather; the covered courtyard area offers shelter.
