The 18th Euskirchener Kulturnacht — Concerts, Theatre, and Performance throughout the City Centre
The Euskirchener Kulturnacht is one of the most vibrant cultural formats in the Euskirchen district. Once a year, shops, cafés, galleries, churches, and cultural institutions open their doors for live performances. You stroll through the city centre, letting yourself drift from one performance to the next, discovering regional artists in unexpected spaces.
The programme is diverse: live music from singer-songwriters to brass bands, theatre performances, readings, dance, improvisation, and performance art. Over 30 venues are spread across the city centre, each with its own programme and artists. A central programme flyer helps with navigation.
The 18th edition is currently being prepared by the cultural administration of the district town of Euskirchen. Based on experience, the programme bundles music (jazz, singer-songwriter, rock, classical), spoken word (readings, slam poetry, theatre), performing arts (dance, performance), and visual arts (exhibitions, live painting).
All Kulturnacht events are free of charge. This clearly positions the city of Euskirchen: culture is accessible to everyone, without an admission barrier. Accompanying this, there is a craft market in a central square, which also requires no admission fee.
A special feature: shop windows are also used as stages. Artists perform in decorated shop windows, and the audience watches from the street. This unusual stage situation makes the Kulturnacht particularly charming and accessible.
Euskirchen, the largest town in the Euskirchen district, is located between Cologne and the Eifel region. With around 60,000 inhabitants and an active cultural scene (city theatre, Kulturhof, gallery), the town offers a rich cultural infrastructure. The Kulturnacht is the highlight of the cultural year and a showcase for the regional art scene.
The organizer and contact person is Nina Kaiser-Havertz from the cultural office of the district town of Euskirchen. She coordinates the programme, venues, and artists and is the central point of contact for participating artists.
The 18th edition is currently being prepared by the cultural institutions of the district town of Euskirchen. Programme planning, venue acquisition, and artist selection will begin in early 2026. The exact artists and venues will be announced in the summer of 2026.
Based on experience, the Kulturnacht attracts a multi-generational audience from the entire Euskirchen district and the Eifel region.
