„Caro blüht auf“ – a new spring festival

The Blütenfest Carolinensiel is a deliberate new edition of a spring festival for the Wittmund district. Under the motto „Caro blüht auf“, the event will take place from May 1st to 3rd, 2026, around the Cliner Quelle in Carolinensiel. The festival combines three thematic areas – nature, culture, and encounters – and is aimed at residents, seasonal guests, and day visitors.

Three days of program with live music

The program includes three days of live music, regional offerings, and family activities:

• Friday, May 1st, 2026 – Alexander Koop. Opening at 4:30 PM by Mayor Rolf Claußen.
• Saturday, May 2nd, 2026 – Alex Chilla. Day program with market and children's activities.
• Sunday, May 3rd, 2026 – Shanty Chor Carolinensiel. Maritime sounds to round off the festival.

Cliner Quelle – a special festival site

The Cliner Quelle is one of the most charming places in Carolinensiel – nestled in a picturesque landscape on the edge of the historic lock harbor town. For the Blütenfest, the area will be decorated in a spring style, stalls will be set up, and a stage will be erected. The atmosphere benefits from the maritime character of Carolinensiel and its immediate proximity to the lock harbor scenery.

Regional offerings and encounters

The festival emphasizes regional content: stalls with local products, culinary specialties from East Frisia, craft and plant activities. The theme of nature conservation and the Wadden Sea is also present – a concern that is of particular importance in the Carolinensiel region.

Organizers and local roots

The festival is supported by an initiative from Cliner Quelle in cooperation with the Nordseebad Carolinensiel-Harlesiel and local associations. The opening by Mayor Rolf Claußen underscores the official significance of the new edition. The Blütenfest is part of a broader commitment to further revitalize Carolinensiel culturally as an attractive district of Wittmund.
