Electric Callboy's own festival moves to Berlin: first time open air at Parkbühne Wuhlheide, with a pre-show at Huxleys Neue Welt
The Escalation Fest is the in-house festival of the Castrop-Rauxel-based Metalcore crossover band Electric Callboy. Previously, it was held as an indoor event in Oberhausen, Westphalia, characterized by a headliner set from the band itself and several hand-picked support acts. For 2026, the organizers have decided on a significant expansion: for the first time, the festival is moving to an open-air location – Berlin's Parkbühne Wuhlheide.
Parkbühne Wuhlheide is Berlin's most traditional open-air concert stage: a 17,000-capacity amphitheater in the FEZ recreational park in Oberschöneweide (Treptow-Köpenick district). Since the 90s, it has hosted Berlin's biggest summer concerts ranging from rock and pop to metal. For Electric Callboy and its audience, Wuhlheide signifies a step into a much larger league – and for Berlin, a rare appearance of a complete crossover festival in one place.
On the eve of the main event, Friday, August 7th, the festival invites you to 'ESCALATION FEST FOREPLAY' at Huxleys Neue Welt on Hermannplatz (Neukölln district). The program features a DJ set by Electric Bassboy with special guests Krogi and Evil Jared (Bloodhound Gang). The show is designed as a warm-up for the main festival the following day.
On Saturday, Electric Callboy itself will headline at Wuhlheide. As special guests, the organizers have confirmed Paleface Swiss – the Swiss trio around frontman Zelli, highly acclaimed in the hardcore scene. Other confirmed acts include Alestorm (Scotland, Pirate Metal), Heavysaurus (children's rock in dinosaur costumes), and The Hardkiss (Ukraine). Tickets are available from €99.50; prices vary depending on the category and sales status.
With the Berlin edition, Escalation Fest leaves its previous indoor home base in Oberhausen for the first time and tries out the open-air format. The venue is Parkbühne Wuhlheide, Berlin's largest and most traditional summer stage in the FEZ recreational park in Oberschöneweide. The Saturday lineup features the core ensemble of Electric Callboy as headliner; joined by special guests from the Hardcore, Metal, Pirate Rock, and Children's Metal universes.
The festival is designed as a two-day event: Friday (August 7th) kicks off with 'ESCALATION FEST FOREPLAY' at the indoor venue Huxleys Neue Welt on Hermannplatz with DJ sets and collaborations. Saturday (August 8th) follows with the open-air festival day at Wuhlheide. Tickets are available as combined passes or individually.
