Californian alt-metal icons Deftones are coming to Parkbühne Wuhlheide in Summer 2026 – a single open-air evening in the FEZ recreational park.
Deftones were formed in Sacramento in 1988 and released their first album in 1995. With 'White Pony' (2000), they became trendsetters for a new, more sophisticated variant of nu-metal: dark atmospheres, polyrhythmic structures, Chino Moreno's melodically defined vocal lines, and a unique sound that evolved the genre. Later albums like 'Diamond Eyes' (2010), 'Koi No Yokan' (2012), and 'Ohms' (2020) confirmed the band's status as one of the most consistent and influential voices in modern alternative metal.
Parkbühne Wuhlheide is Berlin's largest open-air concert stage: a 17,000-capacity amphitheater in the FEZ recreational park in Oberschöneweide (Treptow-Köpenick district). Since the 1990s, it has served as Berlin's central venue for major summer concerts spanning rock, pop, and metal. Artists such as Iron Maiden, Rammstein, Foo Fighters, Massive Attack, Pearl Jam, and many others have performed there.
Deftones' 'Summer 2026' tour includes a series of European open-air stops. Berlin is one of them – on Tuesday, August 18, 2026. The date is a standalone concert, not a festival, but we are including it in the festival database because Parkbühne traditionally hosts festival-like large open-air concerts.
August is peak season for open-air concerts in Berlin. Wuhlheide programs a whole series of major shows throughout the summer, and Deftones are among the most internationally significant. Those attending the show often combine it with a visit to the FEZ park or the Spree river, a few hundred meters to the south.
The Berlin stop of the 'Summer 2026' tour is a single open-air evening at Parkbühne Wuhlheide. With nearly 17,000 seats, it is one of Berlin's largest summer concert venues, ideal for a band like Deftones, whose atmospherically charged alt-metal performance truly shines on big stages.
Specific support acts will be announced by the promoter and the band approximately four to eight weeks before the date. Wuhlheide concerts typically follow the format of a headliner's main set with one or two support acts. The show usually starts between 6:30 PM and 7:30 PM, with the main act around 9:00 PM.
The 'Summer 2026' tour follows the release of the studio album in 2025/26 (tracklist details not publicly confirmed). Tracks from the current album are expected, along with classics from:
