ELBRIOT Festival

One Day, One Main Stage, One Industrial Area

ELBRIOT has been taking place on the grounds of Hamburg's Großmarkt since 2014 — a huge warehouse with iconic folding roof architecture from the 1960s, which serves as a festival backdrop at night and on weekends. Banksstraße 28, in the Hammerbrook district (Hamburg-Mitte borough), directly between the main train station and Hafencity. An unusually central location for an open-air festival of this size.

Powerwolf, Savatage, Thy Art Is Murder

In 2026, topping the bill are: Powerwolf — the Saarland-based symphonic power metallers who rose to become Germany's biggest metal band in the 2020s. Alongside them are Savatage, the US progressive metal legends, plus the Australian deathcore act Thy Art Is Murder, Canadian hard rock veteran Danko Jones, and the German bands Orden Ogan and Warkings. A lineup that spans the metal spectrum — from symphonic to deathcore to power metal.

New Beergarden Stage

For the first time in 2026, there will be a second stage in a beer garden format. It will be opened by Mambo Kurt, the cult solo home organ entertainer, who warms up the audience between the main acts with absurd cover versions. The Beergarden Stage is intended to fill the breaks between the major sets and give the festival a second layer of atmosphere.

Harbor City, Hammerbrook, Hard Rock

Hammerbrook is now a bustling business district between the main train station and Hafencity. Industrial areas, office towers, the wholesale market, with galleries and bars in between. ELBRIOT brings hard sound to this otherwise very functional zone once a summer. Public transport connection is included in the ticket — a sensible solution, as resident parking spaces are not available.
