About Elbauenfest Parey

The Elbauenfest Parey has been the big summer festival in the Jerichower Land for two decades. On the second weekend in August, the Elbauen around the Bolle shipyard are transformed into a festival ground with a stage, club stands, DJ parties, and an ever-increasing number of visitors. In 2026, the local festival will celebrate its 20th edition.

The anniversary edition for the 20th birthday. Three days of Elbauenfest on the 2nd weekend in August: Opening on Friday evening, Festival of Clubs on Saturday including Bolle shipyard tour, Family Day on Sunday.

The 2026 edition is planned as an anniversary celebration, aiming to honor the established concept of live band performances, DJ parties, club festival, and Bolle shipyard tours. Specific daily schedules will be announced by the municipality of Elbe-Parey in the summer of 2026 via local media and posters.

Getting there

By car via the B107 between Genthin and Tangermünde to Parey. Train: nearest connection in Güsen or Genthin, then bus or taxi. By bike on the Elberadweg (Elbe Cycle Route).

When the Jerichower Land invites you to the Elbe

Parey is located directly on the Elbe, a district of the municipality of Elbe-Parey in the district of Jerichower Land, state of Saxony-Anhalt. Three weeks after the region's major city festivals, the Elbauenfest traditionally takes place here — born from the club life of the village, it has grown into a meeting point for the entire Elbe-Aue region between Genthin and Tangermünde. Volksstimme reports year after year increasing visitor numbers; the 20th edition will be celebrated in 2026.

The charm of the festival lies in its mix: the Festival of Clubs on Saturday shows that Parey is a vibrant club village — the fire brigade, sports club, anglers' association, and carnival club all perform together. In addition, there are tours of the traditional Bolle shipyard directly on the Elbe riverbank, DJ parties and live band performances in the evening, children's carousels, and food stalls. The festival combines GDR-tested village atmosphere with modern open-air flair.
