Overview

The Edinger Backfischfest 2025 took place from August 16 to 18, 2025, at the Anglerheim on Hauptstraße 4. The Edingen Angling Club e.V. served freshly fried Backfisch in batter for three days — zander, char, baked eel, and roach from their own catch. In the summer heat, the covered beer garden and the club house were filled with guests from across the Rhein-Neckar district.

Backfischfest 2025

The 2025 edition was successful. The Edingen Angling Club e.V. opened its club house from Saturday, August 16, to Monday, August 18, 2025. During the warm midsummer weather, the covered beer garden was well-attended on all three days, with regular visitors from the surrounding communities of the Rhein-Neckar district and the nearby major cities of Mannheim and Heidelberg.

The menu featured Backfisch classics: zander and char in batter, baked eel, roach, charcoal-grilled trout, and smoked fish to take away. On Saturday evening, a regional cover band played live, Sunday was marked by lunch specials and a family program, and the festival concluded on Monday with a "Handwerker-Frühschoppen" (craftsmen's morning pint).
