Brodersby-Goltoft is located on the southern bank of the Schlei Fjord in the Schleswig-Flensburg district, nestled between Süderbrarup, Kappeln, and Schleswig. The Dorfflohmarkt (village flea market) is a central date in the municipality's event calendar. From morning until afternoon, residents set up their items in front of their own courtyards and garages – clothing, toys, household goods, books, tools, and occasionally furniture and antiques. Those who participate register with the municipality and get an entry on the printed map that visitors can use to explore the village.

Coffee Stand and Club Life

The flea market is accompanied by village amenities: The local clubs – fire department, sports club, rural women's association – operate coffee stands, selling homemade cakes, bratwurst, and drinks.
