Village festival "Wir alle sind Waabs"

Festival on the Baltic Sea Beach

The village festival "Wir alle sind Waabs" is the annual highlight festival of the municipality of Waabs on the Eckernförde Bay in the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district. The venue is the fire station, traditionally on the last weekend of July. The festival brings the village community together and is open to visitors from the entire region.

Program and Atmosphere

The festival starts at 3 PM and runs into the late evening:

Organizer: Municipality of Waabs

The festival is organized by the municipality of Waabs in cooperation with local clubs. The name "Wir alle sind Waabs" (We are all Waabs) says it all: the festival aims to bring together all generations and all parts of the municipality, from Lehmsiek to Kleinwaabs and Loose.

Waabs is located on the Eckernförde Bay of the Baltic Sea, in the northeastern part of the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district in the state of Schleswig-Holstein. The municipality with around 1,500 inhabitants is known as a small Baltic Sea resort with a lido and a marina. In summer, the population increases significantly due to holidaymakers – the village festival traditionally falls during the main holiday season and brings locals and holidaymakers together.
