Three Days of Festival Band with Clear Dramaturgy

The Dorffest Scherstetten follows a proven three-day rhythm: Friday evening XXL party with DJ, Saturday evening brass music by the in-house band as the main concert, Sunday with a classic car meeting and morning pint. This division appeals to three different target groups and makes the festival weekend versatile.

Scherstetten Music Association

The supporting association is the Scherstetten Music Association with its brass band, which plays under the direction of Dr. Christoph Reiter. The brass band is one of the active players in the Mittelschwaben brass music scene and is in demand for both concerts and festival events. In addition, the association cultivates youth bands – the youth band traditionally has its performance on Sunday.

Scherstetten — Schwabens Mitte

Scherstetten is a municipality in the district of Augsburg (AGS 09772) in Bavarian Swabia. With around 1,000 inhabitants, it is a typical small community in rural Swabia. The village festival here has the character of a central summer event that brings together club life, village community, and visitors from outside.

A special feature from previous editions: for every woman who comes in a Dirndl, the music association donates one euro to charitable causes. This detail underscores the village-solidarity character of the event – celebrating combined with small social actions.
