33 Years of Village Tradition

Since 1992, the Kulturverein Kablow 05 e.V. has been organizing the Kablow Village Festival — on a voluntary basis, across generations, and with proven success. Kablow, a district of the town of Königs Wusterhausen in the Dahme-Spreewald district, has retained its village character despite its proximity to Berlin (just under 30 km southeast). The Village Festival is THE social event of the year — celebrated all weekend long at the village community square, Dorfaue 25.

Program: Stage, Games, Dancing

A classic village festival format with substance: Opening on Saturday at 1 p.m., live stage with local bands and performances, catering from the club tent and several snack stands, play areas for children, intergenerational activities. In the evening, a big show and DJ program — from classics to party hits. Sunday features a family program until the afternoon.

Sustainable Club Life

The Kulturverein Kablow 05 e.V. explicitly works sustainably: waste reduction, accessible event, vegetarian options, inclusive participation. This is not just PR — the Village Festival is part of a tradition of East German club culture, where participation, commitment, and civic spirit are central. The association seeks new sponsors and partners from the region each year to finance the festival.

Königs Wusterhausen — Starting Point for Spreewald and Dahme

Those who are in Königs Wusterhausen anyway often combine a visit to Kablow with a tour of Lake Krimnick or the Dahme-Heideseen nature park — Königs Wusterhausen is a starting point for waterways towards the Spreewald. Reachable in 30 minutes from Berlin Central Station with the RE2 or RB12 train.
